Our clients include federal, state, and local public agencies, non-profit organizations and associations, foundations, and corporations. The Polaris staff includes sociologists, psychologists, health educators, attorneys, trainers, productions and public affairs experts and specialists in fine arts, public policy and organizational development. Our staff is multicultural and multilingual affording us the opportunity to shape our research and support efforts to address the unique socio-cultural needs of our clients.
Polaris has been involved in providing supports to agencies and institutions through a variety of vehicles including the application of business marketing and survey research techniques to public policy problem solving and public and community education. In the last six years, numerous projects have been conducted in training and technical assistance evaluation and survey research, focus group research, group planning and facilitation, organizational and strategic planning, and public interest advertising and social marketing. Polaris has been committed to providing these services to a wide variety of community based organizations, foundations, museums, and cultural institutions and municipal and state government agencies.
Through 2013, Polaris administered a variety of direct service programs for the SF Department of Public Health in the areas of maternal and child health, pre- and peri-natal services and parenting. For the last six years, we have supported the development and evolution of small community based corporations by serving as a back office responsible for all elements of fiscal and administrative operations including monthly invoicing and accounting, securing and maintaining insurance and employee benefits, and negotiating contracts and leases.
